FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
(1983)
The musical for 1983 was “Fiddler On The Roof”. There were some wonderful acting performances in this production that stole the audience members’ hearts as well as amusing them at times. In this show, there are many tender and poignant moments - a challenge for High School students to perform convincingly but our cast did us proud. Our scenery builders did us proud with a ‘revolving’ house that showed the audience both the interior and exterior of Tevy’s house. Props and costuming were also highlights that helped to transport the audience to a distant time and place.
In my opinion, this was a great show that ranks right up there with our best.
By the way, the ‘Fiddler’ looked suspiciously like the show’s Director although the actor was listed in the program as A.N. Other (later to become known by the stage name of Yar Recned)!
