WAIT UNTIL DARK
(1978)
Our first production in 1978-79 was the suspenseful thriller “Wait Until Dark” by Frederick Knott. There is nothing like a good thriller to make the audience gasp or scream...there is something about “live theatre” that makes these moments more effective than motion pictures. The show had that quiet menace that put the audience on edge.... you just knew something nasty was going to happen!
You will notice in my Director’s Notes a reference to “breaking pencils in anger” (often it was in frustration or my desire to get the show right) ....... now you know the origins of my website title.
