ALL SHOOK UP!

It was difficult to follow the triumph of last year’s “Cats”, but we decided to tackle a new style of production for YMT. Our choice was “All Shook Up!” a “jukebox musical” based on songs made famous by Elvis Presley. This turned out to be my last production for YMT and, regretfully, I was unable to complete this show. I was taken ill in October and was forced to withdraw from Directing the production only a month into it - it was taken over by Mr. Willis Taylor, Drama teacher at Yale. However, I returned from illness shortly before the show's performances and assumed the "Artistic Director" function - - I was able to make some contributions to the show's finished product.
In late February of 2011, I was informed that my contract would not be posted for 2011-12 ("the proverbial stab in the back!") and so my days as Director of Yale Musical Theatre were over or so I thought.
