THE SOUND OF MUSIC
(2009)
“The Sound Of Music” was the last of the “back by popular demand” shows that I directed at Yale. I am pleased to write that once again the production was a resounding success. I pay tribute to the hardworking cast, orchestra, and crew who again did the school proud with another week of strong performances. The letters say it all: “a fantastic production”; “fantastic show this year”; “a totally amazing performance!!!”; “the cast was more professional than I imagined...I was truly impressed”; “what great entertainment and talent”; “these events are an amazing contribution to the community”; “we never expected a high school to put on such a tremendous production...the acting and the orchestra were both excellent”.
Anecdote: Yar Recned’s name was on one of the tombstones in the churchyard scene (now that’s an appearance in true Alfred Hitchcock style!)
