D.W. Poppy Secondary School (Langley, B.C.)
2010-11 provided me with a new role in Musical Theatre. I became Musical Theatre Consultant to “The Poppy Players”. I became involved in two productions in 2010-2011: “New York, New York” (a musical review) and the ever-popular “Grease!” (for the fifth time). I am happy to say that my contract with D.W. Poppy Secondary School was extended for school year 2011-2012. In 2016, I returned to work with the Poppy Players on a production of “Sister Act” in the role of consultant - with additional responsibilities for Lighting and Set Design , the production program, as well as working with the actors (accents, projection, characterization and so on). My official title was that of “Artist In Residence” - this involved working with students of the DW POPPY Musical Theatre Academy.
